- send or submit to us when you contact us by email, phone or mail.
If you opt-in, we may collect your mobile telephone number to send you text messages via your mobile device (for example, SMS, MMS).
When you submit, enter or post Personal Information through our website, the information may be sent to servers located in Canada, the United States and other countries around the world. Regardless of where your personal information may be kept, it will be protected by the safeguards described in this Policy. Your Registration Profile and Your Public Profile
Your Personal Information may appear in Bestfan’s files, in your Registration Profile, your Public Profile, and as part of Posted Information.
While you are a member of the Bestfan Network, Bestfan can see the information that you have entered in your Registration Profile, Public Profile, as well as Posted Information that you have entered through the Bestfan Network. While you are signed into the Bestfan Network, you are not anonymous to us If you are browsing the Bestfan Network without registering or signing in with Bestfan, you are anonymous to us, but we will collect the information listed below under Anonymous Information Collected Via Technology.
Any member of Bestfan who is signed-in and browsing our site can view your Public Profile, as well as Posted Information (including photos, and downloads) that you and others have uploaded to the Bestfan Network through its various features. You can control what part of your Public Profile is visible to other members of the Bestfan Network by following the instructions below to change Your Preferences and Privacy Settings.
When you view another member's Profile, the Bestfan member whose Profile you chose to view may become aware that you viewed their Profile.
Your Preferences and Privacy Settings
You control the information in your Registration Profile and your Public Profile and you can limit the information you share through our network in 4 easy steps:
- log into Bestfan,
- click the Membership link at the top right hand corner of the webpage to go to your Membership Settings, and
- 3. on your Membership Settings page change your preferences and privacy settings, and
- 4. press “save” to save the changes you made.
Your default Privacy Settings limit the information displayed in your Public Profile to.
On your Membership Settings page you can edit your Registration Profile and set your “Preferences” and “Privacy Settings”, for example, you can:
- you can update the Personal Information in your Registration Profile to keep it accurate,
- changing the information displayed in your Public Profile to exclude, for example, your,
- you can opt-in and opt-out of, for example, receiving certain communications from us.
- make yourself “invisible” when browsing the Bestfan Network,
- make your Public Profile not viewable or searchable by members of the Bestfan network,
Posted Information on the Bestfan Network
There are areas on our website where you can post information about yourself and others, communicate with others, as well as post reviews or upload content, for example, commentary, photographs, videos and audio files. In this Policy, we refer to this as “Posted Information”.
By submitting, entering or posting information to our website, you are consenting to that information being displayed.
You decide whether or not to post information through one of Bestfan’s features, but once you do so, you no longer have control over that information. Bestfan, in its sole discretion, under its Notice and Takedown Policy, or if required by law, may remove Posted Information.
All Posted Information throughout the Bestfan Network can be accessed by every visitor of the Site. We cannot control who reads the Posted Information you post or what other users may do with that information.

By posting information (including pictures and videos) to any feature of the Bestfan Network, you consent to the use and display of Personal Information and any other information contained in Posted Information for that feature.
- permit other Bestfan members to search for you using the information visible in your Public Profile.
- send you certain communications relating to the Bestfan Network or our services from time to time, such as service announcements, administrative messages and the Bestfan Newsletter. If you would like to opt out of receiving certain messages, follow the instructions below.

Bestfan’s Retention Policy
Bestfan has implemented a retention policy to prevent Personal Information from being retained for a period than is longer than reasonably necessary to deliver Bestfan’s services and/or products. Personal Information that is no longer required for an identified purpose may be destroyed, erased, or made anonymous.
Canceling your Membership
You may choose to cancel your membership at any time by contacting Bestfan. After you close your membership, you may not be able to sign in to our website or access your Personal Information online. However, you can set up a new membership at any time.
If you close your Bestfan membership, we may still retain certain information associated with your membership for analytical purposes and recordkeeping integrity, as well as to prevent fraud, collect any fees owed, enforce our terms and conditions, take actions we deem necessary to protect the integrity of our web site or our users, or take other actions permitted by law.
In addition, if certain information has already been provided to event providers or to other third parties with your consent, the use and retention of that information will be subject to those third parties' policies.

Invite a Friend / Refer a Friend Policy
Our invitation and referral services may only be used to invite or refer “friends” to the Bestfan Website. “Friends” are those with whom you have a personal/professional relationship. Names and email addresses of referred friends will be used to send an email FROM YOU using YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS from our website’s server to invite or refer your friends to our website, but, thereafter, will not be retained by Sponsor unless the referred friend chooses to accept the invitation.
