It is often the simple things that make life worthwhile. In this case, everything about Now, Now‘s new tune “School Friends”, makes listening to it worthwhile. The simplicity of the lyrics folded in with the rhythmic score make for a pleasing combination.

Brad Hale, drummer for Now, Now, states, “The song is actually relatively old, and it was something that I never really expected would make it on a record. I wrote it while I was in college as a reaction to how my expectations of college were not met. The lyrics are intentionally simple because I felt it was the only way to get my point across to the people I needed to reach.” Point taken, indeed.
