Not too long ago, we announced that The Black Keys were already in talks for a follow-up to their 8th LP, El Camino. Just recently, the band has given more information as to their plans, scheduling, and some general updates on the upcoming record.
Singer Dan Auerbach had this to say about the upcoming album:
“We have a couple of months blocked early next year, like February/March. Pat and I don’t practice or rehearse until we go in to make the record so we won’t really know what it’s going to be like or what’s going to happen till we get in the studio and start working on it.”
He later added on to this saying that they would only need about 2 weeks in the studio to finish recording the LP, as he and bandmate Patrick Carney like to spend time in the studio from 11 a.m. to 3 or 4 in the morning. Although crazy by some people’s standards, Auerbach says that he and Carney love being in the studio.
With plans underway, and time already set aside producing the actual LP, we should have this follow up in no time! Make sure you keep on the look out for this upcoming release!
