The next great hip hop star, Kendrick Lamar, blew up the stage at a packed Sound Academy in Toronto Wednesday night. He had the crowd on fire from the moment he hit the stage, with his anthems like “Hiii Power”, “ADHD”, “P&P” and “F*** Your Ethnicity”. He came fully equipped with a larger than life energy, cool presence and some interactive audience question like “Who wants to get f***ed up with me after the show?”.

The nights initial line up was set to open with Ab-Soul and Jay Rock, but with last minute changes turned out to be Rich Kidd and Fly Union. Lamar’s hype man wound up the audience to some of hip hop new bangers like Pop That by French Montana and G.O.O.D. Music’s, Clique.
Just when you thought the crowd couldn’t get any more live, out pops Toronto’s very own Mr.OVO himself Drake, singing his big tune “HYFR” and the crowd went bananas! “HYFR” is off of Drake‘s hit album Take Care, which Kendrick also is featured one the song, “Buried Alive”. Drake talked about Kendrick’s album coming out October 2nd, about Kendrick being on his tour and made acute mention about Lamar’s love for Toronto, which was one of the reasons he came out to support his closed friend.
