Last night, Jason Mraz played for a packed crowd of all ages at the Molson Amphitheatre in Toronto. He opened with a classic “You and I both” from his first major-label album, Waiting for my Rocket to Come. Mraz followed up with a Jazz rendition of the ever popular song from that same album, “The Remedy (I Won’t Worry)”. Serving as two of his major career hits, these two well-known songs got the crowd going from the start.

Jason’s set list included 20 songs plus a 4 song encore closing his concert with his first single “I won’t give up” from his new album, Love is a Four Letter Word. Overall the concert had a very big band feel which included a brass trio of a saxophone, trumpet and trombone for quite a few of the songs and the crowd seemed to enjoy the added sound. Canadian singer Nikki Yanofsky made a special appearance to sing the duet “Lucky” and his opening act Christina Perri joined him on stage during the encore for “Distance”.

He did a moving rendition of his song “Planes” which finished with him saying to the crowd “That was fun!” Mraz’s playful attitude had everyone laughing with him as he introduced the song “The Woman I love”. No one could help themselves by singing along to his Stevie Wonder cover “Signed, Sealed, Delivered I’m Yours” and he received heavy applause during the extended jazz solo during “93 Million Miles”.
Overall it was a great way to spend a Sunday night listening to Jason Mraz under the stars at gorgeous outdoor venue.
