The biggest award show of the Summer returned with some of Hollywood’s hottest young stars at the 2012 Teen Choice Awards to sunny Califorina. This year’s co-hosts were Demi Lovato and Glee co-star Kevin McHale, who both kept the audience laughing throughout the show in between awards and performances.

Major winners of the evening included Taylor Swift, the cast of Twlight, the cast of the Hunger Games, One Direction, the Vampire Diaries and of course Justin Bieber! Ellen Degeneres also brought up a few special guests to accept her award with her and surprised Sophia Grace and Rosie with mini surf boards of their own for choice web stars. Selena Gomez celebrated her birthday with a surf board for choice music group and a special rendition of happy birthday from the entire audience.

The performances were extra special this year including No Doubts return to the Teen Choice stage, performing their brand new single Settle Down. Flo Rida started his set with his current hit Whistle Song and then had the audience on their feet for Wild Ones, even dancing with Sophia Grace and Taylor Swift. Justin Bieber performed his mega-hit Boyfriend and then transitioned into his brand new single As Long As You Love Me with a special cameo from Big Sean. Finally Carly Rae Jepsen closed the show with a special video montage of all of your favorite celebrities on the red carpet lip synching the words of her breakout single Call Me Maybe.
