To the delight of Red Hot Chili Peppers fans everywhere, RHCP just announced they’ll be releasing eighteen new singles in 2012. The first released will be the tracks, “Strange Man” and “Long Progression” on August 11th. Coming next is, “Victorian Machinery” and “Magpies” on September 11th.
Josh Klinghoffer, the band’s guitarist, has said that, “Some songs seem to have a lot more of an agenda than others. Some songs play well with others and some songs need more attention and a little extra care. Here are some songs that seemed to want to pair up and take a later train. Keep your eye on them, they’re up to something.”
Over the next six months, the eighteen singles will roll out, starting in mid-August. The songs will be available worldwide digitally but don’t miss out on the nine double-sided vinyl records that will align to complete one larger picture by Kelsey Brooks. The tracks were recorded while the Red Hot Chili Peppers were working on their 2011 album, “I’m With You”.
