Festival Dreaming

Summer is almost here, and that can only mean one thing: a copious amount of music festivals! Coachella, Bonaroo, Osheaga are just some of the fests we have to look forward to… and at BestFan, we believe that style plays a huge part in the extraordinary fun that is a music fest. Graphic tees, acid wash jean shorts, cross-body boho bags, lawyering jewellery, and a stellar pair of sunglasses are necessities to walk amongst other festival-goers. We found our pieces at stores such as Forever21, H&M, and ALDO. The individual pieces ranged anywhere from $2 – $65. But remember, you are there for the music, so wear something you can let loose in!


Beach Bound

To get you beach and pool-side ready, we have picked out the essentials to have you feeling hot and ready to soak up the sun. This season, we are seeing a trend in bikini’s and bathing suits – lot’s of new geometric patterns. Bold colours and risky cut outs will make you look fashion forward – even in the sand. We are also seeing a huge trend and a wide selection of cover ups which are great to slip into after getting out of the water. A tote bag is essential for carrying water, an iPod, and a book for the beach. Also don’t forget to chose a cute pair of gladiator-style sandals, or simple flip flops for your feet, and an over-sized pair of sunglasses to protect your face from the sun! Minimalist

They say less is more. In this case – it is true! The minimalist look is sweeping the fashion world, and here at BestFan, we are truly fans. This look is so simple, yet so elegantly fashionable. We paired a beautiful white cotton shirt with a navy/black straight pant leg to give a little contrast, and topped it off with a super- trendy hat for a touch of fun. These pieces can be found at H&M, ranging from $40 – $50.

Hippie Chic

This is probably one of our favourite looks of the season. Boho-Chic has certainly been done before..but this year, we are seeing new and innovative pieces which give a new spin to this gorgeous look. Glamourous floppy hats are extremely fashionable this year, and will make you look effortlessly chic. We are also LOVING the new short-in-the-front, long-in-the-back skirts and dresses for this season. The key to this look is being able to find vintage pieces, and mixing them with new trendy pieces for a hippie chic look. The pieces Saida has on range in price from $14 – $25, so you can see how this trend will save you some money! We found these amazing items at stores such as Goodwill, Forever21, ALDO Accessories, and Aritzia.

A Night on the Town

This season, we are seeing another come-back of sequins – and we love it! When the temperature rises, keep cool by baring your arms and legs with sequinned mini skirts and dresses. We find this look to be glamourous and easy to pull off. Top this look off with a great pair of shoes, and a minimal clutch. These pieces range in price from $10 – $95
and can be found at Urban Outfitters, Club Monaco, H&M, and Leigh and Harlow.

A Pop of Colour

This season is all about colour. Use it in any way possible to enhance an outfit instantly. We suggest bold colours in accessories – they act as great accents, and give a fun spin to any outfit. We LOVE this clutch and necklace together – we also added a bold pink colour to the lips to tie it all together. Pretty Pastels

We are seeing a huge trend in pastels this season! Light pinks, oranges, greens, and blues are a fresh way to give any look a feminine spin. We paired a lady-like floral button-up blouse with a pair of pastel pink jeans to create this trend. Rememeber to keep it light and fresh for summer, and you’ll be pulling off the pastel look in style! These pieces can be found at H&M, Pink Tartan, and Zara, ranging in price from $25 – $180
