Reel Talk: Films Opening Today!
Three new films open today! Which one will top the box office this week?
Cowboys Vs. Aliens:
This Western action film stars Daniel Craig (Casino Royale) and Harrison Ford (Indiana Jones) as they play the part of the cowboys. The film takes place in 1873 in Arizona where a spaceship arrives to take over the Earth, starting with the Wild West region. Also, starring the gorgeous Olivia Wilde.
The Smurfs:
If you grew up in the 80’s-90’s then you knew what The Smurfs were all about, well they’re back again! The evil wizard Gargame chased them out of their magical village to our world, and they take on the Big Apple. Join them on their adventure in Real 3D with the hilarious Neil Patrick Harris and the beautiful Jamya Mays. Also, making her debut in film is the “Teenage Dream” singer Katy Perry who is the voice of Smurfette.
Crazy, Stupid, Love:
This romantic comedy stars comedian Steve Carell, Ryan Gosling, Julianne Moore and Emma Stone. The story is about a father(Steve) whose life unravels while dealing with his marital status and managing his relationship with his children.
Lady Gaga’s Performance on ‘So You Think You Can Dance’
The fabulous Mother Monster gave a stellar performance last night of her songs “Edge of Glory” and “You and I” on FOX’s So You Think You Can Dance. Lady Gaga also guest judged as she poured out tears after watching a beautiful contemporary routine by Marko and Alison and praised Sasha and Mel of their amazing routine by throwing her shoe at them.
Watch This: Darius Rucker – I Got Nothin’
In Darius Rucker’s newest single “I Got Nothin” he really hits home with his fans and connects with those in rocky relationships. As the third single from Rucker’s newest album Charleston SC 1966 he is able to talk about real moments in life when people literally have “nothin” to say when they should be saying all the right things.
The video showcases a couple that is falling apart at the seams and as the woman begins to leave the rest of the items in the house follow her.

Listen Up: Chris Brown – I Love Her
A brand new single from Chris Brown was leaked yesterday titled “I Love Her”. There are rumours floating around that the single may appear on his new album Fortune, however none of them have been confirmed. With a pretty flute and piano based background the single is a cry out for Brown who talks about a past relationship and a woman he still loves.
Brown stated, “if the whole song doesn’t leak then it’s going on fortune! I have so many songs that I’ve recorded in my opinion that are siiiccccckkkk! I just really hope people appreciate the diversity on Fortune!”.
We’ll have to wait and see if the single “I Love Her” will make it onto a future album! Enjoy Chris Brown’s new single down below.
Nicki Minaj Back with M.A.C
Guess who’s the new spokesperson for the 2012 VIVA GLAM campaign? Who other than the wonderful Nicki Minaj. Last year Minaj launched her limited edition M.A.C lipstick which she called Pink Friday (named after her album) and is now ready to partner with M.A.C again! Minaj is paired with Ricky Martin for this campaign and are both currently on set shooting in Miami. The MAC AIDS FUND has used many well known celebrities in the past including, Lady Gaga, Fergie, Missy Elliot, Elton John, Boy George, Christina Aguilera and Eve to name a few.
Minaj seems just as excited as us, she recently tweeted:
“Viva Glam Photo Shoot. Ur gonna GAG!!!!!,” “Cant wait for my barbz & ken barbz to wear this new shade of lipstick! Wait til u see it! Sickening!!!!”
The campaign is scheduled to launch in February 2012.
