Wear !t Loud 2010

Posted on Friday, August 20, 2010 in Fashion Exclusives, Music Exclusives, Music News, New Music, Wear It Loud

Last night, Toronto hot spot This Is London hosted Wear It Loud, a fashion and music event in support of Plan Canada’s Because I Am a Girl global initiative. The evening was hosted by the always charming Rick Campanelli (host of ET Canada). The night kicked off on a high note with a thrilling performance by Anna Cyzon (formerly from MTV Canada). Cyzon performed three of the tracks from her forthcoming solo effort, and definitely kept the audience wanting more. Cyzon even left the stage and hit the runway for her final song, making a big impression.

Toronto designer, David Dixon, featured his brand new Fall collection which can be described as an ode to retro-Barbie. The collection showcased some brilliantly tailored jackets, skirts and mini-dresses with pockets. The color scheme included lots of rich reds, warm yellows and of course, Barbie pinks. These are adorable fashions for young women, especially the modern day fashion forward business women.

Following David Dixon ’s Barbie collection was an electric performance by the Candy Coated Killahz, who kept everyone dancing through their entire set.  The electro/pop duo performed music from their new album Neon Black, which is tentatively scheduled to be released next month. We were definitely impressed with their energy and stage presence. Be sure to keep your eye out for the Candy Coated Killahz!
